Venice to Riva del Garda by train?

Riva del Garda does not have a train station.
What is the nearest town with rail service?
Thank you for your help.
I believe it is Mori--a small town west of Rovero--on the line to Bolzano. Or, Desenzano on the south end of the Lake and then hydrofoil all the way to Riva.

Thank you, Bob. Is there a website that gives hydrofoil prices and schedule?

You can try
http://www.navigazionelaghi.it/itali.../indicega.html. I've not been there but was looking for this information myself and came across this web site.

Allison

Robbie:

I did this in May. I took the train to Rovereto (by way of Verona). At Rovereto there is a bus that goes to Riva, probably takes about 30 minutes (2Euros or so cost) (it has space below for luggage). The ride down into Torbole with the view of the lake is quite stunning. Alternatively, you could take the train from Venice to Peschiera (sp) and take a bus from that train station (although that bus ride is quite a bit longer). I found the bus information (schedule) on line.
