Venice to Florence - Train Reservation

Hi,will be in Venice end of the month after travelling in Germany and Austria. Have an Eurail 1st class pass. However, most trains from Venice to Florence appear to be Eurostar trains requiring reservation and payment of a supplement.
Questions:

1. How long before my trip from Venice to Florence should I get a reservation or more importantly until how late can I leave this?

2. Can I book reservation for my trip from Venice to Florence in Germany? Maybe at the Euraide offices in Berlin or Munich.

Thanks

At the latest, 10-15 minutes.

>or more importantly until how late can I leave this?

As late as you like - it is VERY unlikely that 1st class is ever full.

>2. Can I book reservation for my trip from Venice to Florence in Germany? Maybe at the Euraide offices in Berlin or Munich.

Why pay extra for the Euraide if you can get the reservation with no extra cost attached from any ticket counter?

Ditto, altamiro.

You can purchase your seat reservation at any train station in Germany.

You could book Italy tickets in Germany if they want to and they may well not so don't count on it. Sometimes they will and sometimes they won't in my experience even though they all have the same computer access.
In Amsterdam last year i wanted to book a night train from Cologne to Berlin and they said no that i'd have to do that in Germany. He finally relented and booked it for me quickly.

All, thank you, much appreciated. Takes a load off my mind.
