Venice - Street Maps
I have been to Venice twice and always get lost (which I don't mind) but we were going to the opera and could not find the venue...can someone suggest a good, easy-to read street map of Venice?
thanks dpranck |
I generally like the Streetwise maps, but on multiple trips to Venice with different maps I have to say I can still get lost.
|
Well my big problem is that I have a really hard time understanding maps. :) it is so embarassing and I wish there was a course that teaches you how to read maps. I do have a streetwise map but I am the kind of girl that loves to know "do i turn right or left"

how about a handheld GPS?
|
dpranck, I get it. You're like my husband, which is why I'm always the navigator and official 'map holder.'

how much are handheld GPS?? I have a gps on my blackberry but I don't think it would help me in Italy.

Jean,
hahahaahh I feel your husband's pain. I do all the planning and researching, etc., but when it comes to finding a restaurant that has been recommended to me by locals...oy vey...I don't have a clue. dpranck Will you be in Venice in February? ahahah |
We have a garmin nuvi 270 that we use for driving in Europe. It has a walking mode installed,I throw it in my purse when we park.I can use it to see exactly where we are at any time.I bought in 2009 on Amazon for $139.
