Venice or Cinque Terre?

We have two weeks in Italy, end of May, and are settled on everything but 2 nights. We're debating between Venice and Cinque Terre. Can't do both without running a bit ragged.

Thoughts?

Venice, without question!

Another vote for VENICE!

i've been to both. both are magical in their own way. I would say Cinque Terre though. Two nights is perfect for the "five lands" and will be sooo relaxing and gorgeous. Save venice for next time when you have more energy. Venice requires more than two nights to really get the feel for it. Have a great trip!

A Venice vote may not have had a visit to cinque terre. Having been to both, vote cinque terre if ragged.

2 nights not enough for Venice. Cinque Terre is more relaxing and if you like nature, hiking and beautiful breath taking views go for Cinque Terre is pure essence Italy....

Thanks for all the replies.

I have a feeling that the Venice votes may have assumed that we haven't been to Venice before, which we have. We loved it, but after reading the replies we're leaning towards Cinque Terre, which we haven't been to (nor anywhere in that area).
