Venice + Murano Burano Torcello

Hi there, i will spend 3 days in Venice, accomodation for the 1st 2 nights has been secured in Venice, for 3rd day, should i choose to stay near Marco Polo Airport (my flight: 9.25am) or i should remain my stay in Venice?

For Murano Burano & Torcello, do you suggest me to buy the sighseeing ticket to visit all this places in a group or better to do it by ourselves?

Stay in Venice - no trouble to get an early Alilaguna waterbus to the airport in time for your flight.

We were in Venice two weeks ago and visited Burano. We considered the sightseeing ticket, but it's very rushed and inflexible - you only get 40 mins on the islands which is not enough. We travelled independently on the vaporetto and were glad we did - Burano is wonderful and we spent about 2 1/2 hours there.

Same advice as above.

We loved Burano. Went first to Murano because we love glass and from there after visiting a factory we were put on a boat towards Burano. Where we also spent several hours.

Torcello - don't remember.

I would suggest buying a 3-day vaporetto pass. You can use it for the ferry to Murano/Burano/Torcello, instead of buying a sightseeing ticket. I personally could skip Torcello, but others here like it.

If possible, stay in Venice all three nights, instead of going to the airport for the third night. Staying in the city will require that you rise early to get transportation to the airport. I don't know how many people you are traveling with or your budget, but you might consider using a water taxi for a quick, fast trip to the airport. Your hotel can make the arrangements for pick-up.

My advice is slightly different that the others. We stay at Agriturismo Ca Beatrice, five minutes from VCE, the night before we fly out. But we are usually staying in Venice for more than a week, so one last night in Venice is not a big deal. We have a late lunch at one of our favorite trattoria and then go to Ca Beatrice in the late afternoon. They have a wonderful restaurant on site. We flew out of VCE just this past Tuesday and in took over an hour to get luggage checked and through security, so it can be a very busy airport.
