Venice/LaCalcina..sold out 8/07?
 

I e-mailed LaCalcina for dates in 8/07 yesterday & received a response that they were sold out....can that be true already? Did they misunderstand me & think I meant 8/06??? If they are booked, now where?? I really enjoyed the recommendations for this hotel...anything similar/in this price range?

I live in Europe (CH) and when I see the date, 08/07 or 08/06 I'm confused. 08/07 is August 7th? Then what year? or August 2007? Then what day? Is this clear to the americans?

In order to avoid confusion, you had better write the month with the name (August, July, etc). Otherwise we write : Day/Month/Year

From the sound of it, you meant July 2007? They did not understood it if you pad ut just 08/07. I would put e.g. for 10 August 2007 assuming this is what you meant.

It's possible, I guess, but as others are mentioning, if you didn't the first time, I would try again and clearly write out your dates.
