Venice in September
 

I have been to Venice quite a few times, but only in February. My plans will allow me to be there early this September. Would appreciate comments on weather, acqua alta, and whether or not the canals smell during early Sept.

We've been to Venice early Sept. of 2003. The weather was sunny and warm. I didn't notice any bad smell coming from the canals.

This September will be the sixth time we're in Venice in September. I think it's the perfect month for Venice!

Weatherwise, be prepared for some heat and humidity. Peoplewise, be prepared for wall-to-wall people around San Marco. Smellwise, don't worry. :)

I was there in Sept 2001 and it poured rain teh entire time.
