Venice in June: Need Airconditioning?
We will be staying along the Grand Canal in late June. Will we need airconditioning?
Our choices for canal view rooms are:
Locanda Leon Bianco - no A\C
Locando Sturion
Hotel Rialto

Any advice?
|
Jan, you only need to ask once. If you don't see what you'd deem an adequate number of responses, please feel free to pull the thread up & top it.
Thanks!
|
Anybody stayed at Locanda Leon Bianco in EARLY June? Too hot w/out a/c?
|
Jan- You definitely DO need A/C in late June-- we were there in early June a few years ago and luckily we did have it-it was way too hot for me!
|
Jan,
Get air conditioning!!! It gives you an option, too, in case you want to close your windows against smell/and or noise. It can be boiling hot in June.
|
Jan,
The last time I was in Venice the 2nd week in June we definitely needed A/C-was quite hot.
|
Jan,

Get an air conditioned hotel room!

Our first trip to Venice was in late May and the weather was steamy.
|
We spent 8 days in Venice the latter half of July. It was definately warm enought to warrent the A/C at the hotel. We had a couple of days it got quite cool so we left the windows open at night. Big mistake. We got bit up by something, probably mosquitos and were full of red spots for almost a week afterward. I would go for the air conditioning.

You couldnt pay me enough to go to Italy in the summer months. HOT, EXPENSIVE. and CROWDED. Gee doesnt that sound like fun ?
|
ABSOLUTELY!!! In fact, can you put your trip off till the fall?
No crowds, no smell, cheaper accomodations, etc, etc.
|
Hi Jan,

You most DEFINITELY need air conditioning...I was just there in mid June and it was 100 degrees and extremely humid.
