Venice: Hotel Galleria

Has anyone had any experience with this hotel? Thinking of booking there for 3 to 4 days the last week of March.

I know someone who stayed there and liked it. Search this site for comments.

I've stayed there three times. Its modest but clean. You can't beat the location and price.

We stayed there in 2001 and enjoyed it The bathroom is down the hall but no problem.
Can't beat the price or location. Our room was right on the canal.
Very friendly staff.
We plan to stay there again on our next visit

We stayed there a week. The location is ideal, and the price very reasonable. Our room had a bath, but was a bit cramped, so breakfast was something of a challenge. The staff was helpful to us. The only disadvantage was that, as at many small hotels, they close the desk and door at night (midnight, I think), but that was not much of a problem. We left on the typical early morning flight out of Venice, and had to let ourselves out of the hotel.

I stayed there last October (actually, in their "dependence", which is around the corner from the hotel. It was very nice...large twin room, with our own bath (we had to step out of the room into the hall to get to the bath, but only a step or two.). Very reasonable price (I think 100E for two people).

Great location; very helpful staff.
