Venice Hotel...Ca Formenta or Corte Contarina?
 

I am going to Italy for the first time this October and want to know if anybody has stayed at either of these hotels? They both get good reviews at TripAdvisor. But saw here at Foders hotel reviews that Ca Formenta only got 1's straight across the board.

Tom, The 1's that you refered to here on Fodors was caused from only ONE person's review and opinion. I went with TripAdvisors reviews from the MANY people which had nothing but great things to say about the hotel. I am booked at the Ca Formenta for 3 nights, with a lagoon view room, this coming June and can't wait! I have emailed the staff at the hotel several times with questions and they have been extremely helpful with detailed answers and even made us reservations for the doges secret palace tour within 24 hours of asking.

That is what got me too, great reviews at TA and only the one bad review here at Fodors. Please post a review when you get back.

How much did they charge you for the SI tour?

Hi Tom,

They did not charge me, they just made the reservations for me and emailed me a confirmation number to take. I assume that I will pay when I arrive for the tour.

I will post how the stay turned out when I return, and I'm sure I will have nothing but good things to say!
