Venice - Hotel Ala or Locanda Barbarigo?

After reading many postings here, I narrowed our hotel choices down to these 2. My boyfriend and I will be traveling to Italy in mid-May and will be staying in Venice for 2 nights. Can anyone help me decide? These offered the 2 best rates, although Hotel Ala is 15 Euro more expensive.

Two great choices that are next to each other--actually the Locanda is behind the Ala. Christina and Vito are very nice and helpful, but it is a small B&B and the Ala is a full service hotel. Which is your taste?

Thanks Bob. This is our first time to Italy so I'm not sure which type of hotel would offer us the best taste of Venice. What would a full-service hotel like Ala offer that a small B&B would not?

We stayed at the Locanda Barbarigo last September and loved it. We had the esmerelda room and it was very nice. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

They were also very helpful with dinner reservations.
