Venice:Getting form Airport to holel
My airplane is scheduled to arrive in Venice at 7:30pm, June 24, 2005. What is the best and most convenient way to get to the Hotel Bernardi without having to take out a loan?
My email addressis: [email protected] Thanks Ken |
The cheapest way, and fairly easy:
At the airport, purchase an ACTV 72-hour pass. This is 22.5 Euros and will get you 72 hours of riding the buses and vaporettos. (You could buy a bus ticket instead, but I think this is most cost-effective for the full time of your trip.) Go out of the airport and catch an ACTV bus to Piazzale Roma. Be sure to validate your pass inside the bus. Once you are at Piazzale Roma, you take the vaporetto to the stop nearest to your hotel (this is no doubt listed on the hotel site). Then walk the rest of the way to your hotel. www.actv.it |
Hi kc,
Which airport? |
Water taxi from the airport dock. It's more expensive than the bus, but not so expensive that you should have to take out a loan. Fast and will get you as close to your hotel as possible.

Ira,
The only name I get of my paper work is (VCE) "VENICE IT,ITALY(VCE)" KC |
My instructions are for VCE - that's the main Venice airport. It's also called Marco Polo airport.
