Venice, Florence, Rome museum reservations

I saw a post of someone posting websites and phone numbers to call for reservations for museums in Florence and Rome. It was on someone's itinerary list. Please help me find it

Hi

I can't help you with the contact details but hopefully you will get feedback about this. Have you looked at the museums homepages?

Anyway, maybe you can find some useful info in my trip reports from Rome http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy.htm and Florence http://gardkarlsen.com/florence_italy_travelogue.htm

Regards

The official museum website for Florence:
http://www.polomuseale.firenze.it/en...usei/musei.asp
Click on one of the museums to get the phone number, not the ticket/hour link as it isn't very helpful.

For Rome: http://www.pierreci.it/ which will roll over to ticketclic when you start to purchase.

It might be cheaper to buy the Roma Pass (20&euro or the Roma & Piu Pass(25&euro. The Roma passes include free entrance to two museums (I suggest Coloseum/Palantine/Forum and Borghesi), discounts at others and tranportation (bus/metro./local trains) for three days.

For the Vatican:

<Please help me find it>

To answer your question, to 'find it', try putting "florence museum" in the search box.

Hi S,

For Florence
Uffizi and Academia Museum Reservations
The easiest and cheapest way is to call Florence 1010987 (dial around number), 011 (U.S. international access code) 39 (Italy's country code) then 055-294-883 8:30-18:30 M-F and 8:30-12:00 Sat. Florence time. There is a long listing of press 1 for this and 2 for that--press 4 for bookings. You will get an English speaking operator and in 2-3 minutes YOU CAN RESERVE FOR BOTH. This is through the reservation service at the Uffizi and costs beyond the normal entry fee only about 3 euro for the service. This is MUCH cheaper than the commercial booking services.

You will not be charged for the reservations unless you use them.

Have a nice visit.

thank you one and all for your help. I've been reading posts of hotels, restaurants, museums and just general interest walking. This is a terrific forum and I SO much appreciate all the help.
