Any suggestions on hotel recommendations? $250/room rates. ideas suggestions

Florence, this October, we loved Relais Grand Tour. Ideally located, beautifully decorated, lovely management, I can't say enough about it. The pics on the website give you a good idea.

We stayed at the Westin Europa in Venice. Not sure about the rates for this year.

It is on the canal and is very convient to walk to San Marco Square.
