Venice, Florence and Rome in mid-March???

Hi friends...I know this is unpredictable but can anyone tell me their experience with weather in Venice, Florence and Rome in mid to late March? Would like to be in Rome for Easter Sunday this year which falls out at the very end of March. Is it likely to rain quite a bit? I know this is a tough question and the weather varies but would just like to know your experiences.

Thanks so mcuh.

Why guess---Weather base has facts:

ROME-----HI 60---LOW 42----RAINFALL--2.6

FLORENCE--HI---59--LOW 41---RAINFALL--3.1

VENICE--HI 54---LOW--39--RAINFALL 2.2

HAVE FUN !

It's been a few years since I was in Italy late March (Easter in Rome also) and had good weather. Sunny and a bit nippy early morning (needed a jacket), but by later in the day only short sleeves were needed.

On the Amalfi coast at that time of year, lemons are already on the trees and huge.

Rome will be very crowded for Easter and you can expect some closures (especially Easter Monday).

On my three March trips over the past ten years (Umbria, Venice, Lago Bracciano north of Rome) I can't remember it raining. Every day was really nice. We took the train into Rome Easter week and the queue was ridiculous at the Vatican (the Pope did come out for a practice wave) but other than that Rome was easily strollable and not any more crowded than in summer.
