Venice - Doges Secret Itinerary Tour
Just booked the tour and did a search for where to go with our reservation number that day, but didn't find any info.
Can anyone tell me exactly where we meet up with the tour?
Thanks.

You can pay the ticket for the secret itinerary at the entrance and wait in the courtyard. You will find other people waiting with a badge "secret itinerary" in Italian, that you get when you pay your ticket. If you are still worreid, you can ask at the ticket counter. Enjoy the visit!

Hi
I just came back from Venice and I also took this tour and it was great. We booked the tour one day and picked up and paid for the tickets next day. We met up in the corner left of the ticket counter in the court yard. The tour was interesting and amusing.

Gard is right. I remember having done the same last november. We took a tour in French because of my partner and our lady guide was experienced and funny and her French was very good.

I am topping this because I have a related logisitical question I was hoping someone could answer. Our hotel has made a reservation for us in May for the secret itineraries tour at 9:45 in the morning. My question is, does the fee I pay for this tour also entitle me to entrance to the main areas of the Doge's palace? Or do I need to buy seperate tickets to view the main areas? Thanks in advance for the assitance!

Idealess: The secret itineraries tour at the doge's palace is a behind the scenes look at the palace and the jail cells (like the one's that held casanova) and torture stuff. You can find more specific info on it in any good guidebook including fodors or eyewitness. Or on this site. Just search for secret itineraries and lots of threads will come up.

I was just in Venice in March and took the "Secret" tour. Very entertaining! I would recommend stopping at the ticket office the day before (as my friend and I did) to put in a reservation for the time of your choice
for the next day. But you will still need to purchase your ticket the day of the tour - they do not actually sell the tickets in advance - so be sure to get there at least 1/2 hour early. The tour did last approximately 1 1/2 hours
and was thoroughly enjoyable!
