Venice Daytrips

We plan on being in Venice next fall and we were plannig on taking daytrips to:
1.Verona
2.The islands of Torcello,Burano and Murano
Has anyone taken these daytrips and did you find them worth the time and effort.
Thanks

I have visited them all (but spent 2 nights in Verona) and found them absolutely worthwhile. I might add Bassano de Grappa to the day-trip list if you have the time..

If you are not interested in glass, you can give Murano a miss..

I, too, have been to them all and enjoyed them all. The islands are just a vaporetta ride away from Venice, so I don't even think of them as a day trip.

Verona is lovely, but not in the same league as Venice. Since I assume this is your first visit, I suggest you immerse yourself in Venice. I would not go to Verona unless I were going to be in Venice for a minimum of 6 or 7 days.

We just returned from a week in Venice. We went to Murano and Burano but ran out of time for Torcello. Both islands were well worth a visit; IMO especially Burano. We also went to Bassano del Grappa and enjoyed it very much. I agree with Allie, it depends on how long you are planning to be in Venice if you should make these trips. This was our second visit so we were ready to explore further afield.

I completely agree: yes Burano (mandatory), yes Torcello, maybe not Murano, sure not Verona.
Verona deserves more than a daytrip because its charme is bigger and unique after sunset, including good dinner, also.
Have a lovely trip, ciao.
