Venice Card

How does this card work? We are driving a car to Vencie and Parking it on the mainland. Do you know if there is a discount if you have purchased the venice card? Is it better to buy it online or when you get there?

Hi anitas,

From the official website:

2) How to buy the Venicecard
Venicecard can be obtained only by booking it at least 48 hours before collection in one of the following ways:
- Internet website "www.venicecard.com".
- Call centre service"Hello Venezia" +39 041 2424.

anitas - I've been looking into it for our trip as well, and it looks like there's a discount if you purchase online before you get to Venice. I believe you get a voucher (or receipt) after your purchase online, which you then trade for the pass in Venice.

I can't speak to any possible parking discounts, but have you determined that the Venice Card is a worthwhile purchase? I've never seen any strong endorsements of it.

I bought one in March and later determined it would have been cheaper to just by tix for the vaporetto as I needed them. There may even be day tix available
