Venice card?
I understand this is something new. Think it's worth getting for Venice?

Hoping someone knows more about this than I do at this point!

Appreciate comments.

Bob

I think that in most cases it doesn't justify from a cost point of view. But it is indeed convenient, once it may save you precious time in queues.

From a cost standpoint, it'll depend on the answers of the following questions:

How long are you staying?
Would you get a vaporetto pass for all your stay, or would you rather mostly walk and only do selective vaporetto rides?
How many times you feel you'll need a public restroom each day?
Which museums you intend to visit in Venice?

Could you please post a link to the "Venice Card"..I'd never hard of it and am interested Thanks

Please explain this card for those of us who do not know what it is. From the first response it sounds like a combination museum/transportation/restroom card. Is that what it is? How long does it last and where do you buy it?

Thanks

Is this the same thing as the Rolling Venice Card? Or something different? I'd also like to know about it.

http://www.venicecard.it/
The site is in Italian ... cry for help if you need :-)

Yes, it's a combination card. One has the choice of transportation/restroom, with or without free entry to a range of museums. Cards are issued for 1, 3 or 7 days, for seniors or juniors (under 29). One may add the Alilaguna Line round trip between Piazza San Marco and the Airport or parking at the San Giuliano lot at a discount on normal rates.
