Venice at Christmas...lunch? activities?

...wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a late lunch. Family of four, two teen sons, budget is not a big issue, don't need to drop $1, 000, but figure a nice, special meal in a memorable place is worth it!! On the other hand, a simple yet delicious family place in a neighborhood is great too!! Just know alot will be closed, and I'd like to make a reservation so I have that question answered.

If anyone has an idea for Christmas Eve, would love that too!!

Monaco Restaurant (SM) has been recommended for Christmas lunch. Comments?

We are planning on going to mass at St. Marks. Any other ideas for the day?

Midnight mass on Christmas Eve would be fun. We went to mass at the Carmini in Dorsoduro, and it was pretty special. Cold, too, but a lovely feeling of warmth, sharing a special time with others.
