Venice apartments?
Hi there! I'm looking for an apartment to stay in while I spend a weekend in Venice this August. I will be traveling with 4 friends. Do you have any suggestions about where to stay? And how to go about finding a place? Useful websites? I know about www.cross-pollinate.com, but other than that, I'm clueless! Thanks for the help!

we stayed in the Castello neighborhood, at Campo Bandiera & Moro. It was about 10min walk to Pza San Marco.
Beautiful 2br apt w/ AC - fit 4 people but not big enough for 5.
Contact Denise at Venice rentals and tell her what you're looking for, and she'll tell you what she can offer & give you suggestions.

Check out privatevenice.com. There are 2 apartments available. We stayed with our children in the 3 bedroom with the terrace on the Grand Canal this April. I definitely recommend it. Great apartment, great location.

Dear Alie,
I love suggesting my favourite two:
www.summerinitaly.com: nice guys, very friendly and professional. They will be able to help you anyhow...
www.interhome.com huge range of houses and apartments everywhere, very professional too, but not as friendly as at summer in italy.
Hope it helps!

We stayed at Palazzetto da Schio with 5 people and we enjoyed it.
This is a very old, well kept, building and the apartment has lots of antiques.
Here is the website: http://www.palazzettodaschio.it/rentsuk.html
Have a great time!

We used these folks last September:
www.veniceapartments.org and had a good experience with them. We stayed in this apartment in Dorsoduro near the Accademia.

It has three bedrooms, a double bed, two twins and a single. there were five of us, two couples and a single.

We also used www.veniceapartments.org and were very happy with them. They responded within a day to all emails and were a pleasure to deal with. We had several date changes and they were always nice to work with. The office where u pick up keys is right near the main parking lot. Our bus from VCE dropped us there and it was 5 minutes walk to their office. They gave great directions to get to their office as well as how to reach our apt from their office. We were just 2 people, so our studio would not work for you.

Has anyone ever rented from SPQR Travel? They have an apartment in San Palo near the San Silvestri vaporetto stop that I'm considering for 2 nights in August.
I'm also considering Romite apt from Carlo Pescatori of wenicevenice. It's in a nice area of the Dorsoduro area.
Any recommendations as to which is a better or location or any intel on either of these rental agents?

Right before New Years I stayed in Apartment Ca' Foscolo. It was a VERY nice apartment, and located very close to San Marco, but not too close where there was foot traffic in front of the apartment all day and night. Took us a bit to find it, but once we did it was well worth it.

I would definitely stay there again.
