Venice apartment with view of water

I'm looking for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in Venice for 3 nights in May. We would really prefer an apartment with a view of the water. This is for 4 adults.

Price range around 400 Euro / night or less. Thanks

Contact the folks at www.venicerentals.com. They are booking agents for a lot of apartments. Tell them what you're looking for and they'll give you some options.

Personally I think water view is overrated (for the added cost) in Venice - everywhere you go you see canals & boats all day long.

If you've never been to Venice, you need to be careful asking for a water view. You could find yourself facing the vasty, industrial reaches of the lagoon, or on the noise-plagued Grande Canale, whose vaporettos sound (and smell) like diesel buses, and the noise is constant. -- But maybe that's just what you want!

A picturesque view of a hidden canal out your window is not to be sneezed at. Your own ringside seat on the Grande Canal can be fab. Some people feel claustrophobic in Venice, so an open view onto the lagoon or the Giudecca is a great relief.

Just be careful what you ask for -- and J62 is right. Most views in Venezia are charming, water is everywhere, and maybe you'll end up deciding you'd rather save your money on something else.

Have a look at
http://www.casadeipittori.com
all the apartments overlook one of the most lively and characteristic canals of Venice.
