Venice - Apartment agency recommendations?

Planning a trip to Venice in late March - myself, DH and 9 yo DD. We prefer a suite or 1 bedroom especially when we are staying put for more than one night so we are leaning towards an apartment. I have found some apartment agency sites on Fodors but would like to hear about your personal experience with the agencies and specific apartments.

Looking at: Views on Venice, Rental in Venice and Truly Venice. Any experience with any of these - good or bad? And if so, which apartment did you stay in?

We have stayed here twice, each time for a couple of months. Worked OK for us. http://realvenicevacationflats.com/

I've stayed in this one bedroom apartment located in a historic palazzo many times. The owner is easy to work with, the apartment beautiful, and in a great location. You will need to email the owner for rates- the rates change depending on the season. She also rents 2 other very nice apartments that I have seen but not stayed in. All of the apartments are located in the Dorsoduro area.

A few years ago we used www.venicerentals.com and were very happy with them.

They gave a lot of help selecting an apartment based on our needs & preferences.

English speaking staffer (American student) met us at the vaporetto stop when we arrived, walked us to the apartment, showed us nearby shops, etc.

They gave us a cell phone # to call when we arrived at the train station to synch up the meeting time.

We've rented twice from Views on Venice, and the apartments and service could not have been better. We rented larger apartments than you're interested in, however. You might check out apartment/agency reviews on slowtrav.com.

We have rented from sleepinitaly.com and had good experiences (though the rentals were not in Venice).

Have stayed here at least 6 times. I can't imagine a better situation for your family. We love the location and the ambience. Veronica is a perfect hostess! Casa Veronica at www.athomeinvenice.com.

We used
http://www.italyperfect.com/venice/v...n-rentals.html
for our apartment in Rome. They were superb and have locations in Venice.
For Venice we actually did what qwovadis is suggesting. Applied for 2 Starwood cards and with spending got enough points for 2 rooms for 3 nights at the Westin Europa. Venice was the end of out trip and we need a little luxury. The towels and robes were yummy fluffy and thick!!

The two agencies that friends have used and would highly recommend are - www.viewsonvenice.com and www.trulyvenice.com

Having done both a hotel and apartment in Venice I would definitely do the apartment again.
