Venice - Airport to Cruise ship Port ?

Can anyone tell me how long it would take to go from the airport to the port terminal to catch a cruise ship? Thank you.

P.S. to above question.
Also would like to know if there are any good hotels located near the Cruise ship terminal. Again Thanks.

Take the Alilaguna Boat from the airport and get off at the Zattere Landing. From Zattere, it's a very leisurely and easy ten minute walk to the Cruise Ship Port along the wide Zattere Boulevard.

There are several berths used by cruise ships. The San Basilio terminal is by Zattere, but others berth elsewhere. There is a large Stazione Marittima which can be reached on foot or by taxi (a car, not a boat) from Piazzale Roma - the ferries from Greece also berth here. You need to find out where your ship will be berthed.
Thanks for the info. Will check into it further. We will be in a Celebrity cruise ship.

Jop,
I strongly suggest that you come a day or two early and get a hotel in Venice before embarking on your ship. That's what we did last fall and wish we had booked another night or two. We really fell in love with Venice and also had time to rest up and relax before embarking. We took a taxi from the PRoma - it's not that far, but lots of traffic and uphill walking. Your bus at the airport will take you right to the P Roma where you can catch a taxi, but think about staying an extra night or so!

in Oct we took a cruise from the San Basilio terminal. We were advised to take a taxi from the airport and, indeed, it was the best way. Think it took about 25 min and cost about $28.
Only fly in the ointment was the VERY long queue for taxis at the airport.

Does anyone know how far it is from San Marcos are(i.e. The Westin Europa) to the Cruise terminal where the Celebrity ships depart?

What is the best/economical way to get there?

Have you checked w/ your cruise line as to if they have a free tender between San Marco and the ship.

My cruise started w/ an overnight in Venice. They kept a (free) tender at San Marco for their passangers.

Hope you get to spend an extra night or two or more in Venice before you embark.
It's worth the fee your might be charged to change your flight.
