Venice airport pick-up, need help!
 

Thank you in advance anyone who can help me. I am meeting my mother at the Venice airport on a Thursday morning in June. I have never flown into Venice and do not know what to expect. We will be traveling from the CT (by car) and hope to meet her 11:30am plane, but anything can happen. Is there a place that she could wait for us safely? She is not comfortable venturing into the city by herself. Grazie

The Marco Polo airport is small but quite modern and comfortable. She could wait for you right there.

There's quite a nice cafe in the airport.
She can sit and have a coffee.
As somebody else said Marco Polo is not one of those vast intimidating airports.

Thank you for your response to my question. It is good to know that it is not a large imposing airport and she can wait there. She has never traveled that far alone before, I promised her smooth sailing! It helps to have all of you out there. We leave in 11 days. We are counting the minutes. Thanks again Fodors friends. Kim
