Venice

hotel I have booked in Venice is located in San Marco. They indicate parking inthier description of amenities. I need to know if it is possible to drive ino San Marco, or do they mean parking somewhere other than the hotel

they must mean parking at Piazzale Roma, or something... there are absolutely no cars in Venice...

what is the name of the hotel?

Pizalle Roma, I'm sure. There are definitely no cars allowed on the streets in Venice. You would have to take a Public Boat from the parking area to your hotel. There are different stops along the Canal so you should be let off fairly close to your destination.

2 yrs. ago we went to venice & had no idea that you couldn't drive to your hotel. basically you have to park your car at this parking structure - there might be other alternatives, but consider this... we had to pay for our car (rental) & parking per day. what we should have done was just taken a train from our previous destination. depending on how many days you plan on being in venice consider taking the train! cause what's the point of having a car & paying for it when you're not going to be driving it!
