I'm planning a short trip to Venice next month... how much does decent accommodation cost? How long is recommended to go for?

I think you'd get better results if you suggested the money level which you think is "decent." You can spend literally thousands a night for some Venice hotel rooms and people who do that probably did sop because they considered their choice "decent."

Save yourself some time by going to one of the several booking engines, putting in dates, and a whole host of hotels will come up.

I cannot recommend any lengths of time for your visit since I have no idea what you are interested in or planning to DO there.

Without more info from you impossible to answer. How many euros are you willing to spend - and what amenities do you want (AC, elevator?). And what are your interests?

And where are you coming from/going to?

You can plug in your exact travel dates on Booking.com and see what's available for those days at what price, and read user reviews. Next month, you will definitely want air conditioning.
