Venetian water taxi tipping

There seems to be a difference of opinion. Does one tip a water taxi driver in Venice? And a gondoleer? If so, how much? In New York, we tip. It s not required perhaps, but we tip. I don't wish to be seen as "one of those people" if you know what I mean.

Hey cj,

Unlike the US where a "tip" is given because a service charge is not included in the price, Italians do not expect an extra gratuity because you are paying a service charge as part of the price.

Give a couple of Euro tip If extra special service is provided.

Enjoy your visit.
