Venere Web Site Reservations

We have made a couple reservations thru this web site. Have any of you used this service? I don't want to think I have a reservation and when I get there have a problem. Do you just show a copy from the computer?

I've used them a few times for hotels in Italy, France and Greece and have never had a problem. I do as a general rule call the hotel a few days after making the booking to confirm the reservations (and its existance!!) and rate. I'm pretty paranoid about hotels claiming they didnt receive my reservation so I also call a few days before I am scheduled to arrive!!! So far its been fine...knock on wood!

Used often and with never a glitch. Equally important, cancellations have gone through as they should, as well.

Best wishes,

Rex

I also had no problems with them on a recent trip. Two reservations, both exctly as reserved. Didn't even need to show the reservation form, since my name was in their reservation book, but I had the printouts on hand in case there were any problems.

I agree with the others. I've used them many times. In fact they are the first site I always check. Never had a problem. Since I usually make reservations a few months ahead of time, I do email the hotel a couple of weeks before to confirm that they still have the reservation though. They always do.

Hi lady,

Venere has been around for a while.

I always contact the hotel, whichever booking agent I use, to make sure that they have my reservation.

Used them for hotel reservations in Venice, Florence and Rome last year - no problem. Didn't even need to show proof of reservation.

Hi BL,

I've been using them for my Sept trip and so far it has worked fairly well.

However, I have found that the majority of the hotels do not reply and that the majority of hotels come up "not available" when you try to book this far out. When I contacted the same hotels directly, most of them very glad to make a reservation for me 8 months in advance.

I did have 3 reservations go through and received an e mail "voucher" which they instruct you to print and take with you.

Like the posters above, I will confirm about a month prior.

Buona fortuna!

Used them several times over the years w/o any problems. Easy no-risk cancellation policy also. Used them in Italy and France.
