Do you book directly from Venere.com?
There is a hotel in Sorrento - Le Terrazze - for which I can't find a website or contact information, but for which I can book on Venere.com. Just wondering if it is safe/reliable to book through venere? |
Venere will give you direct contact info after you book, if I recall correctly. I've never heard of any problem with Venere. You can always contact the hotel shortly before your departure to ensure they have your reservation. Hundreds of people have posted their Venere success stories on various fora.
Note that you may be able to book with several other sites. See the reviews at TripAdvisor which list several other agencies. |

I recently used Venere with good success. One hotel (out of 5 booked) was overbooked and sent us to another. I don't blame that on Venere but on the hotel itself.
They also give you the ability to leave feedback after your stay. |
I booked a hotel in Rome (Albergo Cesari) through Venere and was very pleased. They offered the best price for that hotel. Ironically, when I went to use them again for a different trip, their price was not competitive.

I booked most of my hotels through Venere for our trip last April. (Rex had said they were reliable, so I took his word.) I was happy with all of them and had no problems. PJK

I booked several hotels through venere.com when we went in 2003, and used them again to find hotels for our trip this fall. No problems to report, and I appreciated the VAST number of hotels to choose from.
