Vegetarian meals in Paris

My wife, 2 teenage daughters and I are traveling to Paris in June. How easy (or hard) will it be to find vegetarian fare? Will we have to search for vegetarian restaurants or will some bistros (which we'd like to try) have some options. They are vegetarian, but do eat eggs and dairy. I am not veggie, but can go along with the crowd.

Paris offers quite a number of vegetarian restaurants and other spots that offer some food that is not meat-based, such as the Indian restaurants. One place you could put on your list is Le Soufflé, where you can get spinach, seafood, and cheese soufflés along with excellent salads. Many cafés offer delicious omelettes.

There is a Google listing for vegetarian restaurants in France, I think. If I can find it again I'll post it for you. You could also check the bonjourparis.com web site for information, as one of the regular posters there is vegetarian and has posted a number of recommendations.

L'Arpege in the 7th is not a vegetarian restaurant, but it focuses on vegetables. This is a 3 star restaurant, so prices will be quite high, but it will probably be the best vegetable meal they will have the pleasure to enjoy.

Don't miss the sidewalk corner crepe stands (most choices - sweet or savory are vegetarian).

We were in Paris in April and our whole family is vegetarian. We had no problem finding vegetarian options. We do eat dairy and eggs so there a cheese platter and salad, quiche, omelette also works for us. However, Paris is an international city with a wide array of restaurants. We ate wonderful Thai food that had several options (Cheng Mai in the Latin Quarter)- We had wonderful Italilan food at Ponte Vecchio, Latin Quarter w/ view of Notre Dame (reservations are a must). There are also Morrocon restaurants with excellent vegetarian cous cous dishes. You won't have a problem.
