Vayama/Air Berlin to Rome

Hello,
Has anyone booked a flight to Rome (Miami to Rome) via Vayama and/or flown on Air Berlin? Just wonder if they are reliable/good they are.
Thanks in advance!

Don't know about Air Berlin's quality or reliability.

But a good general rule is to book directly with the airline rather than through a third party.

We've flown Air Berlin often - mostly on short hops from Copenhagen to Berlin. We've also connected in Berlin and on to Rome via Air Berlin. The planes have been new, clean, and service - although sparse - certainly efficient.

I've also booked on vayama but primarily for my international flights to and from the USA. I've never had any issues, but I've never had to change a flight. Some folks say that can be challenging.

I often book through third-party sites as we travel throughout Europe on smaller, Euro-airlines. Sometimes kayak, mobissimo, momondo, cheapOair, and others beat the more established airlines.

But I do login on the airline site to verify my "reservation" number, flight info, and baggage status. My only issue was a third party booking on an Air Baltic flight. My Copenhagen to Venice flight, connecting in Riga was classified as a return trip on the Air Baltic site??? After an email conversation with Air Baltic, it really was a semantics issue... You can save up to 40% on a third-party site but do follow-up!

vayama.com is fine good personal experience

skyscanner.net cheaper sometimes use it a little more

airberlin.com is an ok econo have flown reviews not

to great on their TransAtlantic Planes Iberia.com your

other option out of MIA more direct.

them in the past in big financial trouble

right now pretty much bankrupt just like AA.com

has recently been rumored to be recent layoffs stc

Planes still fly fine though airlinequality.com

will have recent reviews...not much legroom cattle

car experience with screaming babies etc..

So good luck!

I have used vayama to book international flights. No problems. I have also used other third-party sites when their rates were lower than the airlines' website, also with no problems. If the prices are comparable, though, I book directly with the airline.
