Vatican tips please
 

When is the best time to go to the Vatican? What should we start out doing and where should we go from there, ie a Vatican itinerary. Any particular day that is either really good or bad?

Just one major tip.<BR>The Scavi tour.

Go in the morning except for Wed. when the Pope is in town. That is the day he has his public address and the place is a zoo. Try to get to the Vatican museums in the early morning as well. You will be amazed by everything!!!

No matter how hot, don't let any teenage boys in your group wear shorts. They will be forced to wait outside.

Go to the Vatican Museum first and as early as you can. It closes early (as early as 12:30 at some times during the year). Sneak out the group exit at the Sistine Chapel...that lets you out at the main door of St. Peter's.
