Vatican on Saturday
 

We will be in Rome Sat Sept 27 to Mon. the 30th.
The forecast is Rain!
Is the Vatican more crowded on a Sat then a week-day? I know we want to stay clear on the last Sun of the month, but not sure about Sat.
Any help out there?

Yes, it usually is more crowded on Saturdays. And, common sense would dictate that it's even more crowded when it rains. My suggestion would be to get there early before it opens and wait in line.

Hi GrandmaCarol, I will be in Rome also, arrive Sept 26. I believe I am going to the Vatican Saturday also (don't have itinerary in front of me). Hope its not mobbed.

Hopefully those rainstorms won't last long! We're arriving the 27th also until the 30th. We're planning on going to the Vatican on Monday, so take all the crowds with you on Saturday!

On Friday, the Weather Channel was predicting no rain, and today it's a 60% chance. Maybe it'll toggle back by next weekend.
