Vatican Museum tour
 

Do you still have to include (in your fax to the Vatican) your Rome hotel's fax #? That is how it was handled when I was there earlier this year; but I cannot see anything in regards to that on their site -Info Museums - Guided tours.
When I got to my hotel, the Fax from the Vatican-Guided tours desk (my reservation) was waiting for me.

Really hope someone can help.

I just recently faxed from home and they sent fax back to me here within the US 3 days later, which I preferred so I know before I get there. We are going Mid October and I already have it confirmed.

We did not receive our confirmation fax until the day before our tour. They faxed us in the U.S., which didn't do us a lot of good since we were already in Italy. I would have the fax sent to your hotel, or at least indicate that they should fax your hotel after a certain date.

Thank both for your replies. Since I no longer have my fax copy can either of you tell me what what country code etc. you used in front of 06 6988 5100?

TravelerJulie I am really surprised that you had a confirmation from the Vatican prior to your leaving home. I think the Vatican's policy for reserving their tours must be different now than it was late Mar. when I went as I am sure I read on their instructions for faxing that you had to include your hotel's fax # (in Rome); and there is no mention of it now. Also I was told that you would not receive a fax back from the Vatican confirming your reservation until a couple of days prior to the tour.

Traveler2, I faxed my request 011-39-06 69 88 40 19, requested tour in October for 2, didn't give hotel name. They faxed right back the confirmation of my booking.
