Varenna, Italy parking question

On our first trip to Italy, our family seems to be locating suitable apartments to rent a few miles outside of Varenna. (Late to be booking now for a family of five and expect to be right in town.) We are concerned about where and how to park the car when we drive into Varenna to get on the ferry. Any suggestions?

Go to www.varennaitaly.com and click on the map link. There are several parking locations. FYI, the distances on the map look long but aren't. For example, the walk from the train station (where there is parking) to the ferry landing is about 10 minutes at most.

If your trip is in the summer, parking may be tough unless you arrive very early. You should stop in at the Varenna Tourist Office and get info about bus transportation in the area. It might be easier to take a bus from your apartment into Varenna. You should also ask at the Tourist Office if there is a time limit on any of the parking in the town.
