Vaporetto Fare Question
I will be in Venice for 2 1/2 days. I will be leaving my car at the Tronchetto car park and plan on using Vaporetto frequently. The actv.it website lists 2 different fares:
6,00 € - WATER SERVICES TICKET, 60’ Allows travel on all services (except for those of Alilaguna, Clodia and Fusina) for 60 minutes from stamping, with transport means change allowed in the same direction. Also lists: 1,00 € - SINGLE FARE WATERBORNE SERVICES Allows travel on all water services (except those of Alilaguna, Clodia and Fusina) for 60 minutes from stamping, with transport means change allowed in the same direction. Can someone please tell me the differences. I hope to take a night ride on the #1 at least once. Was thinking I should be getting the: 30,00 € - 72-HOUR TRAVELCARD. Can I purchase this at the Tronchetto stop???? |

The 1 Euro fare is for those who have the Cartavenezia card. Non-residents can get this card for 40 Euro. For 2 1/2 days you would not come out ahead this way. The 30 Euro, 72-hour card might be the best for you.

Thanks MusicTeacher ... I am sure we will be doing at least 5 rides so the 72 hour ticket makes sense. Is there only certain places they sell this?? My first ride will be from the Tronchetto car park....

I can't say this for a fact, but since Tronchetto is a major place of entry to the city, I assume that there would be a ticket booth there selling these tickets.
