Is there such a thing? If so, how much does it cost?

I don't have current prices but there are one-day passes, three-day passes, seven day passes, and discounts for seniors over 65, and special tickets for kids.<BR>You get can also get a 10-ticket blochetto, called a carnet di dieci biglietti. Sorry, I don't have current costs either, but it is cheap! You can use it to go to Lido, Murano and Burano, etc. You could spend all day on the vaparettos just touring the various islands. Another point is that if you are staying three nights -- a typical stay -- the three day pass works perfectly as it is really for three 24 hours periods. If you arrive on Monday at noon, for example, it is still good until noon on Thursday.

Hi Tammy<BR>My daughter and I visited Venice about a month ago for 4 nights. Have just come across the fare information sheet. A vaporetto pass for 24 hours costs 9,30 Euros, 72 hours is 18,08 Euros and 7 days 30,99 Euros. We used ours to visit Murano and Burano and found it makes life much easier (and cheaper!!) than buying individual tickets.Just to give you an idea......single fares are E 3,10 and return E 5,16. Just remember to validate it the first time you use. There are little machines at each vaporetto stop. They can be purchased at vaporetto ticket offices as well as Tabacs/ newsagents.<BR>Hope this helps. Best wishes Linda

Well worth the price -- I had a three-day pass and used the vaporetto as a cool place to rest when I got tired of walking. Too tired to walk another step after a strenuous morning around Ssn Marco? Just hop aboard for a leisurely ride to Murano, or to the Lido, or to the church of San Giorgio for a fabulous view of Venice from the bell tower.

How do you know which vaporetto to take to get to the different places?<BR><BR>I am going to Venice in October. It will be my first time so I am unfamiliar with the vaporetto system
