vaporetta passes

i read that its cheaper to get a three day vaporetta card than a 3 day blue venice card. is that true? and where can i buy one?

I just returned from Venice where a three day vaporatto card was 22 euro. I'm not familiar with the blue card.

It's true. The Venice card is generally considered a rip off. It includes a high price for use of some toilets. You can buy a 3 day vaparetto pass at any (I think) vaparetto stop.

Certainly all the vaporetta stops near San Marco had ticket offices, we got a 24 hour pass at 10.50 euros. If you just wanted to go up the grand canal and back, a 90 minute grand canal ticket cost 5 euros, enough time to go from San Marco to the far end and back on the no 1 boat.
