Valencia area map or links
Can anyone please point me towards a good online map with the sights, attractions, neigbourhoods in Valencia? I found a PDF but it's very slow to upload. Also, recommendations for popular barrios in the city centre? apart from carmen..

Take a look at this one, it's a google map with sights and monuments signaled.
http://tiny.cc/rtsZy Valencia's city center is not as big as to have many different neighbourhoods :) (if you think of city center as the "historical centre"). The neighbourhood around Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is very modern, rather upscale and it's not very far from the historical centre. Depending on you dates, you can find very good offers on hotels there. The truth is that apart from el Carmen there are not many "popular" neighbourhoods in the city centre. There is also Ruzafa which is the area beginning at the train station and the bullring. Maybe you can find more interesting info at the website of the map I've told you before and also at this one : http://www.turisvalencia.es/home.aspx |

the museo de historia de valencia is really one of the nicest, as is the museum of fine arts ( bellas Artes). THE NEW BIOPARK ZOO is open and is getting great reviews. enjoy |
thank you, both very helpful.
has anyone been to the museo del seu? |
It is the Cathedral Museum...religious stuff :) No, I've never been, probably I need to do some more tourist visits in Valencia , I always go rushing it !

i was there more than a decade ago but i imagine it hasnīt changed much.
the authentic holy grail is supposed to be here in this cathedral. there is a new museum around the back of the roman ruins next to the cathedral. it is a very nicely/exhibited building. donīt miss the almudin across the street from there. |
