I think I'll skip the anti-malaria drugs though!

Having spent many years in the military, being immunized for world-wide duty, I see no problem with getting the vaccinations recommended for a travel destination. Since I left the military I have lived in Europe, traveled to Africa, India, and the Far East, and have always kept up with my immunizations - it is no big deal. :-)
