Vacationinparis #154?

My husband and I are traveling to London/Paris in the Spring. It will be our first trip to Europe so we are clueless of areas. We would like a hotel/apartment that is convenient to all the typical tourist destinations and we would love a view of the Eiffel Tower. How is this area? Montparnasse area. TIA for your help.

The Montparnasse area is fine and fairly convenient as most places are in Paris to thing (except for places right on the very edge, I'd say). I doubt if you'll have a view of the Eiffel Tower from any hotel in Montparnasse -- I don't think any are tall enough. But maybe it's possible that some top floor of some hotel facing that direction has some.

Here is a link to the apartment...you can definately see the Eiffel tower from their pictures but maybe it is misleading....

From the photos posted on the web site you would have a nice view. The place is on the 9th floor so that helps. The studio is not huge but seems like it would work fine for two, looks to be in decent shape and that balcony is sure a nice feature.
The location is OK - not my favorite part of Paris to stay in but not bad at all.

The location would not be my very favorite - but My Gawd - the view! And it looks quite roomy for a studio at that price, plus a usable terrace. It is convenient to lots of transport - including trains to Chartres. Very clean and modern plus a lift.

I'd say go for it.

The location is a bit "out there", but there is good bus service.

Agree - that view! For me, it would more than make up for not being the most convenient location to the "typical tourist destination". And, it's not inconvenient, either.

It looks very compact to me, but a bit larger than a standard hotel room, and with a kitchen.

I wonder if there is a closet - for your clothing and bags?

No, do not take it. With all the windows and that view you will be tempted not to leave the studio! Of course I am joking - it looks lovely.
