I think it's doable. You'll have to check the train schedules yourself. I'd see if I could go to Cordoba after Madrid, then to Sevilla so you're not backtracking.

Sounds fun! We loved Sevilla this spring!

The best way would be to go first from Madrid to Córdoba with the high speed AVE Train (1h 40mins). Sevilla is another 50 minutes along this line. Then go to Cádiz, a 1h 30 min train ride from Sevilla. The next leg to Lisboa would take you some 9 hours or more with both bus and train.

Madrid, Córdoba, Sevilla and Cádiz in two weeks is about as good as it gets. Leave Lisboa for another time and enjoy four fabulous and very different Spanish cities.

Agree that trying to stuff Portugal into the trip - esp by train - will make just too much to do in too little time.

Have a look at train schedules so you know your options.

you can fly to Lisbon for 50E most days from Sevilla if planned in advance.. except high season. Check TAP, Vueling and Iberia.
