Using Edit 'Copy/Paste' function

Hi
is anyone else experiencing this?
I often use the Copy function on my Edit menu to, say, copy the url for a particular thread, so that I can post it on a new thread as a reference when someone asks a similar question.
Just recently, I can highlight the url and hit Copy, but when I go to paste it, the Paste function is gone, I have to type out the url if I want to reproduce it.
Any ideas?

This is partly a "duh" answer, but try it more than once, for starters. For some reason, I have this problem often the first time I try c&p'ing a url and the second time it works fine. Otherwise, sometimes the url has been written in a format that your computer will "read" as a non-text image and not copy it, so you do, indeed, have to type it out.

One last hint: sometimes it helps to c&p the url with a few words or letters before and after it to the notepad, edit out what you don't want on the notepad, and then copy it to your address field.

Hi elaine,

Try RIGHT clicking on the title, LEFT clicking "copy shortcut" and then CTRL+V on the page where you wish to paste.

Cassandra, thanks for the suggestion, but trying it more than once wasn't working, and it wasn't even working if I tried copying the url onto a Word document and then copying from there, it's the fodors site that wasn't letting me paste just recently.
