USAirways sale

Saw the lowest fares I've seen PIT-CDG for Jan., Feb., and March today--midweek, ~ $418 with taxes.

Grandmere. Those prices are very tempting.
Wish I could take a small jaunt to Paris and Portugal!

Of course, it is USAirways, and you're taking the chance there might be no airline to fly.

Marty, these fares are good through March. USAirways has received some sort of funding until (or through) June, so it looks OK for a while. Check it out on the Airlines Forum.

USAirways just received more concessions from the Machinist's Union also and it looks more and more likely that they will, yet again, emerge from bankruptcy.

Just received an e-mail from USAir. Double miles on ALL travel in 2005, if you purchase by Jan 30.

And new nonstops to BCN anc VCE (from PHL) beginning in May.

We need this airline.

Best wishes,

Rex

When it looked like they were going, I began to miss them! My own reaction was such to surprise even me. I thought I hated this airline, but really, we do need them. Especially if one must fly from Pittsburgh to Europe; there aren't many other decent choices.

USAirways looks OK for now. I wonder if I will get double miles on my trip booked earlier, but not flying to Rome until Feb.24. This is the lowest price we have ever paid for Europe. The tickets were $356.00 US each.

I also love USAirways "search by fare" function on their website. It's the best search by fare that I've used so far, and seems to turn up the best bargains fairly often.

We did PIT-CDG on them about at the end of August/beginning of September, 2003, for 399, but this trip to Rome is even better.

For those of us in the "eastern mid-west", USAirways is our way outta here, so let's hope they keep flying!

I would like to clear up the "Double Miles" offer. US Airways offers double miles on travel flown through December, 2005 if all your travel is booked by January 31, 2005. Basically you have a couple weeks to make all your bookings for 2005 if you want to qualify for the promotion. Here is the link:

I don't know how/what your message adds to "clear up" what I posted, "college_travlers", but you defintely posted the "purchase by" date WRONG. It's January 30, not 31. And I don't know how eight days constitutes "you have a couple weeks to make all your bookings".

This is not scolding, but if you seek to "clear up" it needs to be with correct information.

I purchased a ticket on Tuesday to fly to New York in March.
I hope this includes the double miles.

Remember to be eligible for these promotions, you must register on the website with your Dividend Miles number.
