Their FF miles will be merged with American Airlines next quarter. I recently signed up for their CC to receive the 50,000 miles which I will use once they merge.

I wish there was a way I could trade them for Air Berlin Miles at a close to 1:1 rate.

I'm a card holder and have seen nothing of this announcement/psuedo-ad from the OP anywhere on the USAirways or the Barclaycard site so how about a link, Gretchen since the verbage you used is obviously ad copy.

Well, geez Dukey--yes I DID copy it from an email I got so it would be accurate. I hardly think USAir needs to steal advertising time from Fodor's.
And since we live in a hub city, it is the only FF program useful to us.
Sorry to bother anyone. Many seemed to be very interested in ANY card that had no transaction fee--and didn't question the exchange rate either.
What is UP--you use credit cards in Europe.

I have one and I'll use it in Europe. I usually do anyway. I like US Airways. I like their service to Europe. I like their FF program. Use award tickets to Europe once a year and always get something very decent in terms of route, points required, seating, etc. I'm just hoping the quality stays up when they take over AA operations.

If you collects American Airlines miles and you don't have a US Airways credit card, it's very definitely worth it to get one. The card costs $89, but you get 50,000 miles after your first purchase -- that's enough for a (one-way) business class trip to Europe or Japan.
