US Passport renewals

Any idea what the present time frame is to receive/renew your US passport? I know there was quite a to-do because of a crush this past late summer/fall.....has it improved? We're about to send off our renewal..for travel in March. Hoping that will be plent of time..?

I think that will be plenty. I recently went to apply for a new passport as I lost mine in a move, and I received it in less than 2 weeks from the day I went to the passport office. I think I went in on a Friday and received 2 Thursdays later.

DW just renewed her passport, normal handling, and it took just a couple of weeks.

It's back to normal now... whatever that normal is :)

It's taking about 3 weeks right now. Might be a few days longer with the holidays coming up though.

I just renewed mine and my new passport arrived 4 weeks to the day of my application. So everything is back on track for now.

I recently renewed my son's passport. Two weeks at the most.

We expedited my wife's renewal at the first of the month and it was back in 7 days. I had to add pages to mine and also expedited, and it took two days longer.
