US Airways Is Still Flying-For Now
For those of us that have tickets on US Airways or a partner airline, including me, we are safe until June 30.
Loan guarantees were extended until June 30 when it hopes to pull out of Chapter 11.
This may also give some of us with frequent flyer miles we want to use a chance to book travel.

Hi Grandmere. Now I can send the last of my deposits. I may even pay for the car.
I hope others see this that are concerned about Spring tickets.
Sherry
p.s. have a great time in France!

Everyone can thank me for buying trip insurance for the first time, because I feared USAirways would be out of biz by the time of my Feb. trip. There is some law that ties their survival to my expensive anti-bankruptcy insurance, I'm sure. ;-)
I'm assuming lots of folks who read the USAirways posts are from Western Pennsylvania. Would anyone care for a Pittsburgh GTG?

I would love to have a Pittsburgh GTG. I have been to one in New York.
My husband and I travel to the DC area once a year and I will be hosting my third GTG for the group that meets in that area regularly. They are great fun and the people are a nice group. All of them love to travel.
If you are serious about organizing one or want help to organize a GTG, put me on the list.

Sher, consider starting a new thread with Pittsburgh GTG in the title. You may miss prospective attendees here because the title of this thread doesn't give a clue about a possible GTG. I've attended three GTGs in the SF Bay area, and have had lots of fun at each one. Good luck!

Great news, I'm good for my awards trip to Madrid May 16 - June 1.
Sher - I assume your question about interest in a Pittsburgh GTG was meant for me. It would be great fun, I'm sure, but I'm in the Philadelphia area, probably a 5 1/2 hour drive from Pitt, so I'd have to pass. Thanks anyway.
