Urget Help Needed . . . I leave on Friday!
 

I am a solo traveller heading off to Rome for a few days. Apparently, the hotel that I'm staying at operates a shuttle service to and from the Rome FCO airport. When I booked the hotel i made a note that I would be arriving in Rome at 8am. So, does the shuttle service run on a clock from the airport, and if i arrive at 8am, do you think the hotel will hold my baggage before check in?

Any good hotel anywhere in the world should be able to do this for you. To be sure just give them a call when you arrive and ask.

The other thing to remember is when you get to the hotel, does it look like somewhere you would be happy to leave you baggage for a couple of hours? If not ... maybe a tour with your case (hope not cases) on foot would not go amiss. Just use your common sense imo.

Hi jyabroad, I have never had a problem having a hotel hold my luggage when I arrive if the room is not available yet. And when I have had to check out (due to the checkout time) I have always had hotels willing to hold my luggage until I want to pick them up later in the day. Have a wonderful time in Rome!!

simple - just e-mail or call your hotel and ask them for the definitive answers about shuttle and bags rather than being left hanging (and perhaps holding the bag).
