Urgent inquiry on "renfe" printing problems

My problem is a different one than other people.

Although I successfully managed to get my ticket (the 40% DC one from Madrid to Cordoba), I mistakenly shut off my explorer window before printing out my tickets.

The problem is that I made my purchase without logging on to the renfe site so I cannot identify my purchase record again.. hence am unable to find my locator number, nor my ticket number, which I need either one in order to reprint my ticket.

Also the site did not send me an e-mail confirming my purchase, although my credit card website shows that I bought the tickets.

I am a bit frustrated all day long searching through all my country's websites and forums, then turned to goole and found this wonderful site. However, still cannot find any comments exactly matching my situation.

I think if it is sure that I can get my tickets if I take the credit card(without holding a localizador or ticket number) I used to a renfe office agent after I arrive in Spain, then perhaps my problem can easily be solved.

I would really appreciate any help from you guys. Thank you!!

Call Renfe!!
For all problems relating to online purchases, call 902 10 94 20, as I have.
You may be put on hold for 5 or 10 minutes, but your call will eventually be answered, and agents speak English. Explain exactly what you have explained in your post.

Thank you Maribel. I'm keep on calling(I called about three or four times.. waiting for ten minutes each time) but no luck yet.

I hope they answer my phone some day....;;

They will definitely answer the phone sometime; with Renfe one needs almost super human patience and persistence!

Or while you're waiting for them to answer the phone (best on a work day), send them an email with the explanation you posted above.

In *theory*, if your purchase has indeed gone through, as your bank tells you, you could then simply swipe that credit card into any of the automated kiosks at a major Renfe station to retrieve your printed tickets, but I don't want you to depend on that as "gospel", particularly since you don't have your locator or ticket number.

You really need to get your solution straight from the horse's mouth, from Renfe.

are the trains on renfe generally booked up the day you want to travel?
I am trying to book a ticket on there web site and it is crazy.
I looked into eurorail and it seems to be a rip off.
How can one book a one way trip from barcelona to san sebastian?

Go to https://w1.renfe.es/vol/ and put in your date-can't be more than 62 days out.
I just check a random date at end of June. There are Web (60%) discounts and Estrella (40%) discounts available for the 7:35 am Alivia.

Thanks again Maribel. I actually sent my e-mail right after the problem occured. But I heard rumors that it takes more than a week to get a reply from them.;;

I was kinda busy through the weekend and couldn't make further attempts on callin them. I guess I'll keep on trying from time to time this week. Wish me good luck!
